Athachamayam – A  Colourful procession to welcome ONAM

Athachamayam is a colourful procession in connection with the ONAM, the harvest festival of Kerala which falls in the first month of Malayalam calender Chingam.  The procession will take you to some unforgettable display of traditional art forms like  Theyyam, Panchavadyam, Chendamelam, Pambamelam, Karakattam, Mayilattom, Ammankudam, Aattakavadi and Pulikali along with the display of caparisoned elephants, colourful floats and musical ensembles.  In Kerala, Athachamayam marks the beginning of ten days Onam Festival.
